Certificate of Good Standing

Certificate of Good Standing Authentication Services

When your company expands, signs contracts overseas, opens a foreign bank account, or registers a subsidiary abroad, you may be asked to provide a Certificate of Good Standing that has been authenticated for international use.

At Express Apostille Services, we handle the entire authentication process—quickly, accurately, and without the guesswork.

What Is a Certificate of Good Standing?

A Certificate of Good Standing (also called a Certificate of Existence or Status) is issued by your company’s state filing office—typically the Secretary of State—and confirms that:

  • Your business is legally registered
  • All required filings are current
  • State fees and compliance obligations are up to date
  • The company is authorized to conduct business

For use outside the United States, this certificate must be formally authenticated before it will be accepted by foreign authorities.

How to Authenticate your Certificate of Good Standing

Depending on the state that the Certificate of Good Standing was issued in, we may be able to obtain your authentication using the digital version of your document. In some states, you are required to obtain a newly issued Certificate of Good Standing as a part of the apostille process. Express Apostille Services will handle the entire process, including state-specific process requirements. To get started, you can request a quote for authentication services here.
